그거 맛있어 (Geugeo Mas-iss-eo) That's what I would have said if I knew more Korean. Massively delicious and jam-packed during lunch! Thus, another resto worth returning to as you pass through Houston. The stone pot entrees are filling. Keep in mind to bring a take-out box because you don't want to toss your leftovers. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Thoughtful and considerate when they learned of my food allergy.

This is my favorite place. I love the friendly environment and good foods. The side dishes are great and refillable The staffs are very sweet and friendly. Seafood are fresh and yummy. We had the delicious pancake every-time we are here.

An Asian's w** dream. Such amazing value for money. This place will give you UNLIMITED side dishes (which are good btw) on top of the already great food. Every time I visit Houston I make sure to come here because it's so damn worth it. The day they stop giving me side dishes is the day I'll have to say good bye (joking obviously). Atmosphere is great, and the waiters are super polite.

I have costed the Jang Guem Tofu & BBQ place 3 times. Although we ordered a variety of food, I originally went for their Korean BBQ fries chicken. I really love their Korean BBQ. There are a variety of flavors to choose from, I ordered original, honey and bbq. Their was another style it was close to honey mustard ( my husband likes that flavor, I am not a fan of honey mustard) but the food was delicious. I also order kimchi fries and Korean green onion pancakes. The place was clean, the waiter only came 2 times to the table but was really friendly. If you enjoy the meals there look forward to the Loyalty Rewards card they stamp your card when you order 20 or more, you get a free med fried chicken. I will go back again.

When we got inside this place, it had nice decor and a decent number of people. They had a wait list, which made me think this place was worth looking into. And I was not disappointed one bit. Food portions was comparable to buffet style and reasonable priced. Very tasty and it didn't require me to cook it either or have the smell on my body and clothes. Will be returning again in the future! Look at how much food we got for under 40. I'd say this place is doing great things and will be making others regret their high buffet prices.

I've been to Jang Guem Tofu & BBQ many times, having sampled most of their menu. Everytime I dine here, I am very happy with the quality of their food & sweet, prompt & professional service. All their dishes are very reasonably priced & come with their standard 6 sides of fish cakes, mashed potatoes, seaweed wraps & a variety of kimchi vegetables. This time I had their kimchi tofu & dumpling soup which came out bubbling hot & served with a heaping bowl of rice...all for a bargain price of 11.95. Everytime I've eaten here the food has been very hot & fresh & the staff very sweet, professional & accommodating. You also save 5% if you pay in cash. All in all Jang Guem has been my go-to casual Korean spot for quite some time now in the Houston area. Their dishes are often better than Korean restaurants that are 2-3 times their price point.

I love this spot I can eat here every weekend lol. Every time I decide to go and explore some other Korean restaurant I always end up here for my comfort food. Their beef, seafood and chicken bibimbap is just to die for. It comes in a small hot pot and stays hot till the last bite. If you are impatient like me then dish it out on a plate and indulge in this flavorful meal

Love this place! This is our go to for delicious soon dubu and many other Korean dishes like naeng myun, fried chicken, pajeon, bibimbop. The bibimbop is particularly good and huge to boot. I'd also recommend the fried chicken. It's usually packed but with minimal wait. You get a plate of banchan that contains dried seaweed, potato salad, kimchi, spicy picked cucumber, and fish cake. The interior is decorated well. I took off one star on atmosphere because the bathrooms need some TLC.
